Be Human

What's the point?
There is no use.
The trust in democracy
is being abused.

Many of our loved ones
are being sent to fight.
We worry about them
every day and night.

Daily in the news
a statement is issued,
another soldier dead,
another soldier misused.

Parents and families are
crying out with pain,
for us to see sense
and for us to refrain.

​How many more
will it have to take?
And how much more misery
are they looking to create?

These are the questions that
should be asked of the politicians,
because from where I stand,
they are abusing their position.

Can you even remember
why this war even started?
Which has left many
families so brokenhearted.​

Races and nationalities
should be together as one,
all of us after all,
are under the same sun.

For we are human beings,
of this I am sure,
so why are we fighting?
There is no need for war.

To be human
is to be Free
and to live in
peace and harmony.
