Genre: Crime, Thriller, Fiction

This is Osman's first book and I must say it's a cracker - I thoroughly enjoyed this book from start to finish.

The plot of this book kept me guessing the whole way through, which for me is definitely a sign of good crime/thriller writing. It kept right until the end for the, 'Who done it', which I personally loved.

Osman's writing style makes this novel a very easy and enjoyable read - embedded within the writing is evidently a very British sense of humour, which at several places made me chuckle.

The characters I boneded with, especailly Joyce, I love the element of having exerts of her diary within the novel, and how the story was told from various characters within.

Within the narrative there's various sub-stories also being told, which helps to 'get to know' each of the characters and their stories.

The setting of the book was fantastic and I really enjoyed the loose cannons the individuals from Coopers Chase - the chaos and wittyness of each of them really helped me connect to them.

I gave this book five stars because of the enjoyment factor - pure and simple. I am definitely going to be reading the rest of these series - a very enjoyable read, that kept me guessing right to the end and made me giggle throughout. Bravo Richard - a this is triumph.
