"We wanted to hold this workshop as poetry/creative writing can often be a good recovery activity for our wounded, injured and sick; enabling those who might have difficulty in expressing themselves through normal conversation and sharing their experiences. Sarah communicated with us very early on in the process, wanting to make the workshop as relevant as possible to our audience so that they got as much as possible out of the session. On the day of the workshop it was delivered exactly as promised. Sarah clearly and concisely set out the principles of writing a poem. She then kept the group fully engaged throughout the practical sessions and was responsive to their questions. Feedback from the veterans involved has been extremely positive. One veteran told us “It’s helped me put things in order and to see my life in a very different way”.
